Qurnat as Sawdā is the highest point in Lebanon and the Levant, at 3,088 m above sea level. It is the summit of Jabal al Makmel, a mountain range in Bsharri District, North Lebanon. Qurnat as Sawda’ is situated 3 km north of Machraa el Marjé.

Bsharri is the location of the Cedars of God, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the only remaining place where the Cedrus libani tree grows natively. Bsharri is situated 9 km west of Machraa el Marjé.
