The Baatara gorge sinkhole is a waterfall in the Chatine, near Balaa. The waterfall drops 255 metres into the Balaa Pothole, a cave of Jurassic limestone located on the Lebanon Mountain Trail. is situated 4 km south of Hrayeq.
