Ein Netafim is a water spring in the Eilat mountains located near the Israeli border with Egypt. The spring is located about seven kilometers north of the city of Eilat, near the Highway 12 road which leads to Eilat.

The Netafim Border Crossing was a border crossing between Israel and Egypt. It was located adjacent to Highway 12, about 12 km north of Eilat, 1 km north west of Ein Netafim. Netafim Border Crossing is situated 3½ km northwest of Har Shlomo.

Eilat is the only Israeli city on the Red Sea. Eilat is the southernmost town in Israel, isolated from the rest of the country by the Negev desert. It's sandwiched between Taba in Egypt and Aqaba in Jordan, and often used as an access route to those cities because of its large modern Ramon airport.
