Montfort is a ruined Crusader castle in the Upper Galilee region in northern Israel, about 22 miles northeast of the city of Haifa and 10 miles south of the border with Lebanon. Monfort Castle is situated 3 km north of Shaqif el Ahmar.

Khirbat Jiddin, known in the Kingdom of Jerusalem as Judin, was an Ottoman fortress in the western Upper Galilee, originally built by the Teutonic Order after 1220 as a crusader castle, 16 km northeast of the city of Acre, which at the time was the capital of the Kingdom of Jerusalem. Yehi’am Fortress is situated 2½ km south of Shaqif el Ahmar.
