is a kibbutz in the northern fringe of the desert in southern . Located on Road 264, about two kilometres south of the Bedouin city of and around ten kilometres from , it falls under the jurisdiction of Bnei Shimon Regional Council. is situated 2½ km south of H̱orbat Ma‘aravim.

is a city of 70,000 in the southern region of . It was founded in 1972 as a home for the previously nomadic Bedouin Arabs, who form the large majority of its population. It is the largest Bedouin settlement in the world.
