Kfar Tavor
Kfar Tavor is a village in the Lower Galilee region of Northern Israel, at the foot of Mount Tabor. Founded in 1901, it was awarded local council status in 1949. In 2023 it had a population of 4,376. As of 2022, nearly all of its citizens are Jewish.| Tap on a place to explore it |

The Church of the Transfiguration is a Franciscan church located on Mount Tabor in Israel. It is traditionally believed to be the site where the Transfiguration of Jesus took place, an event in the Gospels in which Jesus is transfigured upon an unnamed mountain and speaks with Moses and Elijah. Basilica of the Transfiguration is situated 2½ km west of Kfar Tavor.
