The Central District of is one of six administrative districts, including most of the region. It is further divided into four sub-districts: Petah Tikva, Ramla, Sharon, and Rehovot.

Ruins
Antipatris was a city built during the first century BC by Herod the Great, who named it in honour of his father, Antipater. The site, now a national park in central , was inhabited from the Chalcolithic period to the Late Roman period.

Railway station
The Petah Tikva–Segula railway station is a suburban passenger railway station in , operated by Israel Railways. It is located on the Yarkon Railway in northeast at the Yarkonim shopping district across the Segula industrial zone and is separated from the rest of the city.

Stadium
The , also known as Petah Tikva Stadium, is a football in , completed in 2011. It is used mainly for football matches and is home to both Hapoel Petah Tikva and Maccabi Petah Tikva. is situated 5 km northwest of Central District.
