Khirbet Minya, also known as Qasr al-Minya or Ayn Minyat Hisham in Arabic and Horvat/Hurvat Minnim in Hebrew, is an Umayyad-built qasr in eastern Galilee, Israel, about 200 meters west of the northern end of Lake Tiberias.

Kinneret is the name of an important Bronze and Iron Age city of the ancient Levant situated on the northwestern shore of the Sea of Galilee. It was first mentioned in the 14th century BC Tale of Aqhat of Ugarit, and in also mentioned in the Hebrew Bible and the New Testament.

It is traditionally accepted as the place of the miracle of the multiplication of the loaves and fishes and the third resurrection appearance of Jesus after his Crucifixion. Tabgha is situated 3 km northeast of Nahal Amud.
