Village
El-Kurru was the first of the three royal cemeteries used by the Kushite royals of Napata, also referred to as Egypt's 25th Dynasty, and is home to some of the royal Nubian Pyramids. El Kurru is situated 4 km southwest of Fitnah.
Merowe
Merowe is a town in Northern State, Sudan, near Karima Town, about 330 kilometres north of Khartoum. It borders the Nile and is the site of the Merowe Dam project, the largest contemporary hydropower project in Africa.
