Simaisma is a small seaside town located on the eastern coast of Qatar 30 km north of the capital Doha. The town features old houses and mosques from the days before the discovery of oil and natural gas in Qatar. Simaisma is situated 6 km southwest of Ḩālat Wabīr.

Al Khor, officially Al Khor and Al Thakhira, is a municipality in northeastern Qatar. Al Khor City, the municipal seat, is located on the northeast coast of Qatar, around 50 kilometres from the capital, Doha and is considered to be one of Qatar's major cities. Al Khor is situated 10 km north of Ḩālat Wabīr.
