Annunciation Cathedral

The Annunciation Cathedral in Solvychegodsk is a major masonry church built in the Russian North during the reign of Ivan the Terrible. Commissioned by Anikey Stroganov, it was the first large brick structure in the city, standing in stark contrast to the surrounding log buildings. Annunciation Cathedral is situated 3½ km northeast of Rychkova.

Vychegodsky is an urban locality under the administrative jurisdiction of the town of oblast significance of Kotlas in Arkhangelsk Oblast, Russia. It is located in the southeast of the oblast on the left bank of the Vychegda River, 15 kilometers east of Kotlas. Vychegodskiy is situated 6 km south of Rychkova.
