Global Vipassana Pagoda

The Global Vipassana Pagoda is a Meditation dome hall with a capacity to seat around 8,000 Vipassana meditators near Gorai and is also the main attraction in Gorai, in the north western part of Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Global Vipassana Pagoda is situated 2½ km south of Dharavi Island.

Gorai is a village at Dharavi Bhet, in Mumbai, India. It is located on the north-western part of the island of Salsette. Gorai is accessed either by a ferry crossing the Manori Creek and Gorai Creek or by the overland route through Bhayander.

Dongri is a port city in the Mira-Bhayandar municipality of Thane district, situated just north of Gorai, Mumbai. The word 'Dungaree' has its origin in Dongri due to this genre of garment monolithically being manufactured from textile sectors within the confines of the city. Dongri is situated 4½ km north of Dharavi Island.
