Mumbai, earlier known as Bombay, is the largest city in India and the capital of the state Maharashtra. A cosmopolitan metropolis, Mumbai was built on seven islands on the Konkan coastline which over time were joined to form the island city of Bombay.
Pune

Pune, formerly Poona, is the second largest city in the Indian state of Maharashtra with an estimated population of 7.4 million as of 2020. It is also considered the state's cultural capital.
Nagpur

Nagpur is a city in the Indian state of Maharashtra famous for its Nagpur oranges. It is also the "second capital" of Maharashtra, which means that some administrative functions are carried out here, and one of three sessions of the Legislative Assembly in a year occur here.
