Dovers Moraine is a band of coarse glacial moraine, extending in a north–south direction for 1.5 nautical miles, deposited at the east end of the main mass of immediately east of .

is an ice-free, rounded hill, 410 m, overlooking on the east side of . This feature appears to have been roughly charted on an 1874 chart by a British expedition under Nares in the Challenger. is situated 3 km northwest of Dovers Moraine.

is a sandy beach lying at the base of on the east side of . The name Launches Beach appears to have had some usage by American sealers as shown by an unpublished sealer's map of "Hurds Island" of the 1860–70 period. is situated 4 km north of Dovers Moraine.
