Anhak Royal Palace Site

Anhakkung was the royal residence of the kingdom Goguryeo after the capital was moved to Pyongyang from Gungnae. The palace was built in 427 AD in the Taesong District of Pyongyang, North Korea, at the foot of Mount Taesong.

The Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, formerly the Kumsusan Memorial Palace, is a building near the northeast corner of the city of Pyongyang that serves as the mausoleum for Kim Il Sung, first Supreme Leader and founder of North Korea, and for his son Kim Jong Il, whose preserved bodies have been displayed publicly since their deaths in 1994 and 2011. Kumsusan Palace of the Sun is situated 3½ km northwest of Kosan-dong.
