Seletar Airport is a civilian international airport serving the north-east region of Singapore. It is located approximately 16 km northwest from Changi Airport, the country's main airport, and about 16 km north from the main commercial city-centre. Seletar Airport is situated 3½ km southeast of Simpang.

Sembawang MRT station is an elevated Mass Rapid Transit station on the North–South Line. Located in Sembawang, Singapore along Sembawang Road, the station is close to the Sun Plaza shopping centre and Sembawang Bus Interchange. Sembawang is situated 3½ km west of Simpang.
