The Muogamarra Nature Reserve is a protected nature reserve that is located in the Sydney region of New South Wales, in eastern Australia. The 2,274-hectare reserve is situated in the northern edge of Sydney and lies between the suburb of Cowan to the south, and the Hawkesbury River to the north. Muogamarra Nature Reserve is situated 3½ km southeast of Cobar Bay.

Brooklyn is a small fishing town perched on the banks of the Hawkesbury River, making it one of the most northerly areas of Sydney. As it's south of the Hawkesbury, it's still considered to be a part of Sydney and it and some nearby islands such as Dangar Island are a part of Hornsby Shire Council.
