Gamleborg

Gamleborg, also known as Gamleborg Viking Fortress, was the first fortification on the Danish island of Bornholm. Built around 750 AD, it was the seat of the kings of Bornholm during the Viking age and early Middle Ages.

Rytterknægten is the highest point on the Danish island of Bornholm at 162 metres above sea level. The bierg is situated on a wooded bedrock of gaiter formations in the middle of Almindingen forest. Aakirkeby is located about 5 kilometres to the southeast.

Aakirkeby or Åkirkeby is a town in Denmark with a population of 2,109. It is the third largest town on the island of Bornholm in the Baltic Sea. It was the main town of the now abolished Aakirkeby Municipality.

Aarsballe is a village located in the centre of the Danish island of Bornholm. It is at a crossroads formed by the main road from Rønne to Østerlars and a secondary road from Aakirkeby to Klemensker. As of 2009, it has a population of 86. Aarsballe is situated 6 km northwest of Vallensgård.

Lobbæk is a village in the south of the Danish island of Bornholm, 10 kilometres east of Rønne and 6 kilometres west of Aakirkeby. It is mainly residential but has a few small firms. As of 2026, it has a population of 305. Lobbæk is situated 6 km southwest of Vallensgård.
