Tomintoul is a village in the Moray council area of Scotland in the historic county of Banffshire. Within Cairngorms National Park, the village lies close to the banks of the River Avon and is said by some to be the highest village in the Scottish Highlands, although at 345 m it is still much lower than the highest village in Scotland. Tomintoul is situated 3½ miles north of Wester Gaulrig.

Cock Bridge is a settlement in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, located in the Cairngorms National Park, on the A939 road near Corgarff and Corgarff Castle, between Bellabeg at Strathdon in Aberdeenshire, on the road to the Lecht Ski Centre, and towards Tomintoul in Moray. Cock Bridge is situated 6 miles east of Wester Gaulrig.
