Kirkwall Airport is the main airport serving Orkney in Scotland. It is located 2.5 NM southeast of Kirkwall and is owned by Highlands and Islands Airports Limited. The airport is used by Loganair.

Loch of Tankerness is a large, lowland, freshwater loch on the Orkney mainland in Scotland. The loch is roughly triangular in shape and is shallow with a flat bottom that gradually deepens from west to east. It lies approximately 4 mi southeast of Kirkwall.

Kirkwall Grammar School

Kirkwall Grammar School is a secondary school in Kirkwall, Orkney, Scotland. It was established in c. 1200. The current school building was opened in 2014. It is the largest school in the Orkney Islands, and one of the oldest schools in the world. Kirkwall Grammar School is situated 2½ miles west of Weethick Head.
