Hill o’ Many Stanes

The Hill o' Many Stanes is a hillside at Mid Clyth, about 14 kilometres south of Wick, in Caithness, Scotland. It has about 200 upright stones, none more than a metre high, set out in rows running approximately north and south with the incline. Hill o’ Many Stanes is situated 2 miles southeast of Upper Camster.

Lybster is a village on the east coast of Caithness in northern Scotland. It was once a big herring fishing port in the 19th century. The Waterlines heritage museum is located in Lybster Harbour and provides information on the history and geology of Lybster. Lybster is situated 3½ miles south of Upper Camster.

Thrumster is a crofting township on the main A99 road between Wick and Inverness. It is the nearest village to Wick. The transmission mast used to broadcast BBC television and radio signals to Caithness was located here until 1960. Thrumster is situated 5 miles northeast of Upper Camster.
