Dùn da Ghaoithe is the second highest mountain on the Isle of Mull, western Scotland, and the island's only Corbett. It reaches 766 metres high, but "its long ridge and deep corries make it seem far higher". Dùn da Ghaoithe is situated 2 miles west of Scallastle.

Craignure is a village on the island of Mull, in the Inner Hebrides of Scotland. It's a tiny place with a population of perhaps 200, but it's the main point of arrival on Mull, by ferry from Oban.

Lochdon or Lochdonhead is a small village on the Isle of Mull, in the council area of Argyll and Bute, off the west coast of Scotland. The village is within the parish of Torosay, just south of Craignure on the A849 at the head of Loch Don. Lochdon is situated 2½ miles southeast of Scallastle.

Lochaline is the main village in the Morvern area of Highland, Scotland. Historian ‘Philip Gaskell’ records that, at the time of the Highland Clearances, in about 1830, John Sinclair of Lochaline founded Lochaline village. Lochaline is situated 5 miles north of Scallastle.
