Kirkibost is a low-lying island west of North Uist in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. Kirkibost is situated 2 miles southeast of Paible.

Remote Radar Head Benbecula or RRH Benbecula, is an air defence radar station operated by the Royal Air Force. Despite its name, it is not located on the nearby island of Benbecula; instead it is located on South Clettraval on the isle of North Uist, 11 miles from Lochmaddy in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. RRH Benbecula is situated 2½ miles north of Paible.

Tigharry is a small village on the west of North Uist. It is mostly a farming community. There are a few rocky beaches and one point of interest is Kettle's Cave. Tigharry is situated 3 miles northwest of Paible.

North Uist is an island in the Western Isles or Outer Hebrides of Scotland. It measures 20 miles north-south, 25 miles east-west, and is separated from Benbecula to the south by a tidal ford, nowadays bridged by a causeway.
