Muckle Roe is an island in Shetland, Scotland, in St. Magnus Bay, to the west of Mainland. It has a population of around 130 people, who mainly croft and live in the south east of the island. 'Muckle' is Scots for 'big' or 'great'.| Tap on a place to explore it |

Mavis Grind is a narrow isthmus joining the Northmavine peninsula to the rest of the island of Mainland in the Shetland Islands, Scotland. It is just over 90 metres at its narrowest point. Mavis Grind is situated 2½ miles northeast of Muckle Roe.

Brae is on Mainland of the Shetland Islands. It was a tiny fishing village then grew rapidly in the 1970s with the construction of Sullom Voe oil terminal, and in 2011 the population was 856.

Clousta is a hamlet on Mainaland, in the island's west, Shetland, Scotland. Approximately seventy people live here, many of whom are commuters, but local industries include mussel farming, and crofting. Clousta is in the parish of Sandsting. Clousta is situated 5 miles south of Muckle Roe.
