Loch Lomond

Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park straddles between to the west and to the east. It's highland in nature and very scenic, though being on the doorstep of Glasgow it can feel busy and touristy.

or Buc-Innis is a small island in Loch Lomond, in west central . The heavily wooded island lies due north of and rises steeply from a rocky coastline to 24 metres in a central summit.

in is the first sizable village that you reach while heading north along Loch Lomond; 3 miles further north is Inverbeg. Although nowadays bypassed by the A82 main road, they're both busy and touristy, especially where every coach excursion stops for photos and the gift shop, disgorging tourists asking if this is the loch that contains the Loch Ness Monster.
