Ardbeg is a small settlement on the island of Bute in Scotland, in Argyll and Bute. It is on the south side of Port Bannatyne. It developed largely in the 19th century as part of Rothesay's tourist boom. Ardbeg is situated 2 miles southwest of Knockdow.

Toward is a village near Dunoon, west of Scotland, in the south of the Cowal Peninsula. During World War II, the Toward area was a training centre called HMS Brontosaurus also known as the No 2 Combined Training Centre, based at Castle Toward. Toward is situated 2½ miles southeast of Knockdow.
