South Ronaldsay

South Ronaldsay is the most southerly of the Orkney Islands, with its main settlement at St Margaret's Hope, and a population in 2011 of 909. Burray just north has always been joined by a sandy spit to South Ronaldsay.

Sandwick is a parish on the west coast of Mainland, Orkney, Scotland, 4 miles north of Stromness. The parish's name derives from the Old Norse Sandvík meaning "Sand Bay". Sandwick is situated 2½ miles northwest of Hesta Rock.

Grimness is a cliff-girt headland on the island of South Ronaldsay, in the Orkney archipelago of Scotland. It is located between Honeysgeo and Skipi Geo and rises to a height of 34 metres above sea level. Grim Ness is situated 4 miles north of Hesta Rock.
