Hecla
Hecla or Thacla is a mountain on the island of South Uist in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. With a height of 606 metres, it is the second-highest hill on the island. The name Hecla is Norse for "serrated".| Tap on a place to explore it |

South Uist is an island in the Western Isles or Outer Hebrides of Scotland, with a population in 2011 of 1897. It extends 25 miles north-south and 5 miles east-west, and has long been linked by road north to Benbecula and North Uist, and since 2002 it has been linked south to Eriskay.

Stoneybridge is within the parish of South Uist and the chapel was also situated west of the settlement at Ardmichael, having been in existence prior to 1854. Stoneybridge is situated 5 miles west of Hecla.
