Hadleigh

Hadleigh is a town in the borough of Castle Point, in the south-east of , England. It lies on the A13 road between , and . The A127 'Southend Arterial Road' bypasses the town to the north.

is a ruined fortification in the county of , overlooking the from south of the town of Hadleigh. Built after 1215 during the reign of Henry III by Hubert de Burgh, the castle was surrounded by parkland and had an important economic and defensive role.
