Oban railway station is a railway station serving Oban in Scotland. It is the terminus of one branch of the highly scenic West Highland Line, sited 71 miles 44 chains from Callander, via Glen Ogle. Oban railway station is situated 2 miles northwest of Glenfeochan.

St John's Cathedral or the Cathedral Church of St John the Divine is a cathedral of the Scottish Episcopal Church, located in the town of Oban. It is one of the two cathedrals of the Diocese of Argyll and The Isles, and one of the sees of the Bishop of Argyll and The Isles. St John’s Cathedral is situated 2½ miles north of Glenfeochan.

Oban is a town in Argyll and Bute on the northwest coast of Scotland. It's a transport hub and most visitors are passing through on the way to the Hebrides, only staying overnight if ferry / train schedules make that necessary; conversely, Hebrideans come here for shopping and other necessities.

Dunbeg, formerly known as Dunstaffnage, is a village about 2+1⁄2 miles outside of Oban, Scotland. It has a population of just under 1,000. It is home to the Scottish Association for Marine Science, one of the primary marine science centres in the UK. Dunbeg is situated 4½ miles north of Glenfeochan.
