The Skerries, coming from the Old Norse word sker, are a group of sparsely vegetated rocky islets, with a total area of about 17 hectares lying 3 kilometres offshore from Carmel Head at the northwest corner of Anglesey, Wales.

West Mouse is an islet lying 1.1 kilometres off the north-west coast of Anglesey, Wales. Its maximum dimensions are 92 by 82 metres, with an area of 1.2 acres.

The Skerries Lighthouse was first lit on the highest point of the largest island in The Skerries, Isle of Anglesey after 1716. A patent for the lighthouse was subsequently obtained in 1824.

"Rhyd" meaning Ford and "Wyn" white. It now runs through a culvert under the road. Rhydwyn is situated 4 miles southeast of East Platters.

It is located in the community of Cylch-y-Garn, 5 miles from Holyhead, 142 miles from Cardiff and 225 miles from London. Until 1984, Llanrhuddlad was a community itself. Llanrhuddlad is situated 4½ miles southeast of East Platters.
