Maggieknockater is a hamlet on the A95 road between Craigellachie and Mulben in Scotland in the Moray council area, in the county of Banffshire. Until the early 1970s there was a large apiary which was well known in the region and has lived on in the Scottish country dance "The Bees of Maggieknockater". Maggieknockater is situated 3½ miles north of Dufftown.

Aberlour is a town in Moray, Scotland, 12 miles south of Elgin on the road to Grantown. The Lour burn is a tributary of the River Spey, and it and the surrounding parish are both named Aberlour, but the name is more commonly used in reference to the village which straddles the stream and flanks the Spey – although the full name of the village is Charlestown of Aberlour. Aberlour is situated 4 miles northwest of Dufftown.
