Carinish, is a hamlet on North Uist, in the Outer Hebrides, Scotland. It is in the south of the island, about two miles from the causeway to Benbecula. Carinish is situated 2 miles east of Baleshare.

Uachdar is a settlement on the Outer Hebridean Island of Benbecula. Uachdar is within the parish of South Uist. The settlement is home to the only bakery on Benbecula, MacLeans Hebridean Bakery, which also has a small shop in the same complex as the bakery itself. Uachdar is situated 3½ miles south of Baleshare.
