Ben Rinnes is a mountain in Moray, in northern Scotland. The mountain is popular with hikers. The mountain is 20 km2 in total and is located 8 km southwest of Dufftown. Ben Rinnes is situated 2 miles northwest of Achnastank.

Allt-A-Bhainne distillery is a Scotch whisky distillery in the Speyside Region of Scotland. It is located just down the road from the well-known whisky town of Dufftown.

Dufftown is a burgh in Moray, Scotland. While the town is part of the historic Mortlach parish, the town was established and laid out in the early 19th century as part of a planned new town settlement. Dufftown is situated 5 miles northeast of Achnastank.

Glenlivet is a glen in the Highlands of Scotland through which the River Livet flows. The river rises high in the Ladder Hills and flows past several distileries and hamlets and then onto the Bridgend before joining the River Avon, one of the main tributaries of the River Spey. Glenlivet is situated 6 miles southwest of Achnastank.

Aberlour is a town in Moray, Scotland, 12 miles south of Elgin on the road to Grantown. The Lour burn is a tributary of the River Spey, and it and the surrounding parish are both named Aberlour, but the name is more commonly used in reference to the village which straddles the stream and flanks the Spey – although the full name of the village is Charlestown of Aberlour. Aberlour is situated 6 miles north of Achnastank.
