Nationalmuseum is the national gallery of fine arts of Sweden, located on the peninsula Blasieholmen in central Stockholm. The museum's operations stretch far beyond the borders of Blasieholmen, including the National Portrait Gallery collection at Gripshom, the Gustavsberg porcelain museum, several castle collections and the Swedish Institute in Paris. Nationalmuseum is situated 500 metres east of Norrbro.

Medelhavsmuseet is a museum in central Stockholm focused around collections of mainly ancient objects from the Mediterranean area and the Near East. Since 1999 the museum is one of four composing the National Museums of World Culture, Sweden. Medelhavsmuseet is situated 140 metres northwest of Norrbro.
