Boekhoute is a village in the Belgian province of East Flanders and is a submunicipality of Assenede. It was an independent municipality until the municipal reorganization of 1977.

Philippine is a small city in the province of Zeeland, the Netherlands. It lies about 23 kilometres southeast of Vlissingen. It is located on the border with Belgium, 5 kilometres southwest of the city of Terneuzen. It received city rights in 1506. Philippine is situated 4 km northeast of De Wilde.
