Mweelrea is a mountain on the Atlantic coast of County Mayo, Ireland. Rising to 814 metres, it is the highest mountain in the western province of Connacht, and is noted for its southeastern cliff-lined corries, and its views. Mweelrea is situated 3½ km northeast of Killary Bay Little.

It is situated at the mouth of Killary Harbour to its south, with Silver Strand to its north, Mweelrea mountain to its east and the Atlantic ocean to its west.
