Galway railway station is a railway station which serves the city of Galway in County Galway. The station itself is located in the centre of the city in Eyre Square. Galway Ceannt is situated 2½ km northwest of Hare Island.

Dexcom Stadium is the home of Connacht Rugby. It opened in 1927 and has been used to host Connacht Rugby matches since. Dexcom Stadium is able to hold up to 8,129 people without temporary seating. The Sportsground is situated 2½ km northwest of Hare Island.

The Claddagh is an area close to the centre of Galway, Ireland, where the River Corrib meets Galway Bay. It was formerly a fishing village, just outside the old city walls. Claddagh is situated 2½ km northwest of Hare Island.

Salthill is a seaside area to the southwest of Galway city centre in the west of Ireland. The area is home to a number of tourist amenities and there is a 2 km long promenade, locally known as "the Prom", which overlooks Galway Bay. Salthill is situated 3½ km west of Hare Island.
