Whitby Lighthouse

Whitby Lighthouse is a lighthouse operated by Trinity House. It is on Ling Hill, on the coast to the southeast of Whitby, beyond Saltwick Bay. To distinguish it from the two lighthouses in Whitby itself it is sometimes known as Whitby High lighthouse.

Whitby Abbey

Whitby Abbey was a 7th-century Christian monastery that later became a Benedictine abbey. The abbey church was situated overlooking the North Sea on the East Cliff above Whitby in North Yorkshire, England, a centre of the medieval Northumbrian kingdom. Whitby Abbey is situated 2 miles northwest of Whitby High.

Hawsker railway station

Hawsker was a railway station on the Scarborough & Whitby Railway. It opened on 16 July 1885, and served the villages of High Hawsker, Low Hawsker and Stainsacre.

Ruswarp is a village in the civil parish of Whitby, in North Yorkshire, England. It is around 1.8 miles from Whitby, at the junction of the B1410 and B1416 roads, on the River Esk and the Esk Valley Line, with trains stopping at Ruswarp railway station. Ruswarp is situated 2½ miles west of Whitby High.
