Slieverue, officially Slieveroe, is a village in South County Kilkenny, Ireland. It is located in the historical barony of Ida. Despite the name, the land is relatively low-lying and fertile. Slieverue's population, as of the 2016 census, was 476. Slieverue is situated 5 km south of Ballyholuck.

Cheekpoint is a village and townland in County Waterford, Ireland, at the confluence of the River Suir and the River Barrow. Located beneath 150-metre-high Minaun Hill, the village has panoramic views of Waterford Harbour, the 650-metre-long Barrow Bridge and Great Island Power Station. Cheekpoint is situated 7 km southeast of Ballyholuck.

Much of Ferrybank, or "the village" as it is referred to locally, is under the political jurisdiction of Waterford City and County Council and thus an area of administration for Waterford City, on the northern bank of the River Suir, extending into County Waterford.
