Leighlinbridge Castle, also called Black Castle, is in the village of Leighlinbridge, County Carlow, Ireland, on the River Barrow. The early castle was built c.1181 for the Normans.

Milford Mills is an 18th-century watermill which sits on the banks of the River Barrow at Milford, County Carlow. Originally built as a flour mill and malting house, it was later employed as a hydroelectric power station. Milford Mills is situated 3 km north of Rathernan Bridge.

Leighlinbridge is a town in County Carlow, with an ancient bridge over the River Barrow that's still in use. It stood astride the main Dublin-Waterford road until bypassed in the 1980s. In 2022 its population was less than 1,000.

Old Leighlin, also Oldleighlin, is a village, civil parish and townland in County Carlow, Ireland. The village is 3.5 km west of Leighlinbridge. The site was at one time one of the foremost monastic houses in Leinster, with 1,500 monks in residence. Old Leighlin is situated 4 km southwest of Rathernan Bridge.
