Eiríksstaðir is the former homestead of Eiríkr Þorvaldsson, known as Erik the Red, at Haukadalur Valley in the Dalasýsla region of Iceland. It was likely the birthplace of his son Leif Eiríksson, the first known European discoverer of the Americas.
