Chijo is a Chilean town. It is a few kilometers east of Cariquima, in the Tarapacá Region, Chile. It is located in the Commune of Colchane. It is a small town of houses with a wild thatched roof and a small church dating from the 18th century. Chijo is situated 3½ km northeast of Caraguano.

Cariquima is a highland town in Chile. The town is a few kilometers south of Colchane, in the Tarapacá Region of Chile. It can be found on the slopes of Nevado Cariquima or Mama Huanapa. Cariquima is situated 4½ km west of Caraguano.
