Acadia National Park is the only United States national park in New England and the easternmost national park on the mainland. It is on the coast of the Down East region of Maine, near the town of Bar Harbor.

Cadillac Mountain is located on Mount Desert Island, within Acadia National Park, in the U.S. state of Maine. With an elevation of nearly 1,530 feet, its summit is the highest point in Hancock County and the highest within 25 miles of the Atlantic shoreline of the North American continent between the Cape Breton Highlands, Nova Scotia, and peaks in Mexico. Cadillac Mountain is situated 2½ miles east of Chasm Brook.

Jordan Pond is an oligotrophic tarn in Acadia National Park near the town of Bar Harbor, Maine. The pond covers 187 acres to a maximum depth of 150 feet with a shoreline of 3.6 miles. Jordan Pond is situated 2½ miles south of Chasm Brook.
