Apex was a lumber town on the Grand Canyon Railway situated in Coconino County, Arizona. Founded as company town on a wye on the Atlantic and Pacific Railroad, the community was dissolved when lumbering activity ceased in 1936. Apex is situated 5 miles east of Geddes Tank.

The Grand Canyon Railway is a heritage railroad which carries passengers between Williams, Arizona, and the South Rim of Grand Canyon National Park. The 64-mile railroad, built by the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway, was completed on September 17, 1901. Woodin is situated 6 miles south of Geddes Tank.
