Paseo Nuevo is a 458,000-square-foot open-air shopping center spanning two city blocks of downtown Santa Barbara, California. It is integrated into the street grid on and around lower State Street via pedestrian promenades positioned mid-block at right angles to the surrounding streets, as are the traditional alleyways of the city's downtown. Paseo Nuevo is situated 600 feet southwest of Santa Barbara City Hall.

The Lobero Theatre is a historic performing arts theater in Santa Barbara, California. Founded in 1873 by José Lobero, it is California's oldest continuously operating theater.The original opera house was replaced in 1924 by the present theater, designed by George Washington Smith and Lutah Maria Riggs in the Spanish Colonial Revival style. Lobero Theatre is situated 660 feet northwest of Santa Barbara City Hall.
