The Rio Vista Bridge is a continuous truss span with a vertical-lift bridge in the middle which carries California State Route 12 across the Sacramento River at Rio Vista, California. Rio Vista Bridge is situated 1½ miles northwest of Tomato Slough.

Twitchell Island is an island in the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta in Sacramento County, California, 35 kilometres southwest of Sacramento. At 2 metres below sea level, the 1,200 ha is bounded on the north by Seven Mile Slough, on the east and south by the San Joaquin River, and on the west by Three Mile Slough. Twitchell Island is situated 2½ miles southeast of Tomato Slough.

Isleton is a city in Sacramento County, California, United States. The population was 794 at the 2020 census, down from 804 at the 2010 census. It is located on Andrus Island amid the slough wetlands of the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta, on the eastern edge of the Rio Vista Gas Field.
