Chico is located on the Kitsap Peninsula in the Puget Sound region of Washington state. Chico, named in 1889 to honor Indian Chief Chico, who lived in the area, is a small residential area along the west side of Dyes Inlet between Silverdale and Bremerton.

The Kitsap Peninsula is in the Puget Sound of Washington State, between the Cascade and Olympic mountain ranges. It is almost an island, connected to the mainland by only a 2 mi wide stretch of land near Belfair. Tracyton is situated 3½ miles northeast of Kitsap Lake.
