Ben Gurion’s Desert Home

Ben-Gurion's hut was the retirement home of Israeli Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion and his wife Paula from 1953 until Ben-Gurion's death in 1973. The "hut", located on kibbutz Sde Boker, was preserved exactly as it was left by Ben-Gurion and now serves as a museum with a visitor center operated by the Ben-Gurion Heritage Institute. Ben Gurion’s Desert Home is situated 3½ km southeast of Har Ritma.

Sde Boker is a kibbutz in the central Negev, most famous for being the past residence of the first prime minister of Israel, David Ben-Gurion, who moved there after he left his office in order to live his ideals of settling the Negev.

Midreshet Ben-Gurion, also known as Midreshet Sde Boker, is a community settlement and an educational center in southern Israel. Located in the Negev next to kibbutz Sde Boker, it falls under the jurisdiction of Ramat HaNegev Regional Council. Midreshet Ben-Gurion is situated 6 km south of Har Ritma.
