Teramo is the capital of the province of in the Italian region of . Near the Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga, on the first Apennine foothills of northern Abruzzo, Teramo enjoys a splendid panoramic position between the highest peaks of Abruzzo and the nearby Adriatic coast.
